As a general rule, Spread The Vote does not collect personal information when you are browsing spreadthevote.org. Personal information is collected only when it is voluntarily provided to us. This Privacy Policies applies only to the information we collect from you over the Internet. This Privacy policy does not apply to other information collection practices at Spread The Vote.

Donations are processed through our trusted third party payment platform classy.org. If you make an online donation certain personally identifiable information about you will be requested (such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, and credit card information). This information enables classy.org to process your donation and enables spread The Vote to communicate with you about it. 4. Volunteer Information

In seeking a volunteer position with Spread The Vote, you may decide to submit, through our sites or otherwise, personally identifiable information (including your name, address, telephone number, email address and other personally identifiable information). All information entered into any online forms related to volunteering is strictly private, and will be viewed only by Spread The Vote for human resource purposes. No information stored or submitted in the online forms will be used for any purpose other than to assess your qualifications as a volunteer for Spread The Vote.

5. COPPA

We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). COPPA and its accompanying Federal Trade Commission regulation establish United States Federal law that protects the privacy of children using the Internet. We encourage parents and teachers to involve themselves in children’s Internet explorations. We do not knowingly solicit any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Children under 13 are not authorized to make a donation or sign up as a volunteer or otherwise provide any personally identifiable information to Spread The Vote.

6. Social Media Sites

Spread The Vote uses third party social media sites to encourage public interaction with Spread The Vote and in general make our content available in other formats or forums. Please be aware that the privacy protection provided on third party social media sites may not be the same as the privacy protections described for Spread The Vote’s website at spreadthevote.org. While we do moderate comments or opinions made on third party social media sites, we do not collect, maintain, or disseminate any personally identifiable information made available to Spread The Vote by those sites or users of those sites.
