Our Vision

IDs for Life

26 million American adults do not have ID. Think about that. That’s huge. That’s remarkable. That is 11% of American adults. It’s an extraordinary number. What other issue affects that many people in the country that we are not talking about?

When we do talk about IDs, we talk about voting. And we should, it’s important. Voting is everything. But every day I work with clients who are living on the street, trying to get jobs, homes, put their children in school, see a doctor. For them, IDs are so much more than voting. They are life.

We’ve had clients pass away before we could get their ID. We’ve had clients whose safety was on the line. Their health. Their families. Clients who call every day, show up at tablings every week, because an ID is everything to them. It’s survival.

The work we do, the work you support, it is the very fabric of this nation. It’s democracy and employment and safety. It’s health and education and freedom. It’s life. It’s hope.

We work on the ground every day across the country to change the lives of individuals and the face of this nation. Through our 501c4, Project ID Action Fund, we work on legislation from Congress to city council to change the realities of life on the ground for the IDless population. This is what we do. This is who I am. Thank you for caring. Thank you for being there after so many years and over 12,000 clients. Thank you for making every ID count.
