Currently and formerly Incarcerated Citizens
Across the country, we are working with jails, prisons, and returning citizens to help currently and recently incarcerated citizens obtain IDs as soon as possible.
#Finefree
It is almost impossible to leave jail or prison without a fine or fee, and in most of the country, that means you can’t get the driver’s license you need to get and keep a job. These fines can cost anything fro $100 to $10,000 and more. We help pay these fines and handle the legal and bureaucratic requirements that make getting a driver’s license impossible. vote by mail in jail
Almost 500,000 people are currently incarcerated but eligible to vote, either because of they are incarcerated pre trial and can’t afford bond or were convicted of misdemeanors. We run the only national program to help currently incarcerated citizens vote from jail.
